Experience Israel

TOUR ISRAEL WITH A LICENSED TOUR GUIDE THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been at war with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.  This has caused many disruptions in travel to the region, including Israel.  The rocket fire from Gaza is a regular occurrence in Israel -- at least 4 or 5 times a week, even before October 7th. With the passing of time and the IDF operations in Gaza, the number of rockets has fallen to only a few each week, making it relatively safe to be in the areas near the Gaza border.  In the north Hezbullah is trying not to make a declaration of war, by only shooting barrages every couple of days. Israel does not want a war in the north but continues to defend itself against this aggression. Unfortunately, due to these constant attacks, the northern parts of Israel are presently off-limits for safety reasons.  Most of the 80,000 civilian population have been displaced within Israel to help keep them safe.

The remainder of the country is as safe as usual, meaning visitors can come from abroad with the increased scheduled flights and the reopening of most sites in central Israel, the coast (up to and including Akko), and southern Israel.  A visitor at this time may miss some of the sites in the north but will have a great time visiting the areas accessible - some of which are rarely visited by tourists.
Whether you plan a visit to Israel for touring, volunteering, nature hikes, visiting family, or participating in workshops, you will find much to enjoy on your visit.

Jerusalem

            Jerusalems Four Quarters

Four quarters to Jerusalem, each unique in its residents, culture, architecture and more. The tour will start at Jaffa Gate and walk through the main road in the Armenian Quarter. Here how this Christian group has it's own quarter and why.  A visit the Jewish Quarter, almost completely destroyed in 1948, will find you in a modern ancient neighborhood with many archaeological sites dating to as far back as 2500 years ago, that are open to visitors. No visit to Jerusalem is complete with a prayer at the Western Wall. Located along the Tyropean Valley, this retaining wall of the Temple Mount has become the most accessible holy sites in Israel. Learn about the Temple, who built it and when.  Continue to the Muslim quarter to walk along the Stations of the Cross and on to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the holiest site to Christianity. End the tour walking through the Arab market to search for trinkets and unique gifts to take home.

               Jerusalem Above and Below

Today explore the city from above with fabulous views of the western, modern side of Israel's capital with its rich history as well as the Old City. Walking on the city ramparts you will get a birds eye view of various buildings inside as well as outside the city walls.  Alighting from the walls walk out of the Old City to the City of David. This is where Jerusalem was founded, this is where David came into the Jebusite city of Shalem and made it the capital of the nation.  Walk through the Canaanite tunnels, as well as Hezekiahs tunnel both used to protect the city's water supply.
Walking up the Roman drainage channel, exit at the foot of the Western Wall.   Complete the day with a tour of the Western Wall tunnels nearby.
